Apollo College of Pharmacy, Durg, was established in the year 2009. It is one of the prime institutions offering pharmaceutical education not only in Chhattisgarh but throughout India. This co-educational college, with an area of 3 acres, is nestled in Anjora, Durg. The institute strives to provide an environment that is conducive to the development of budding pharmacists. Being an affiliated college, it is approved by PCI, New Delhi. With a total student enrolment of 348 and a faculty strength of 21, Apollo College of Pharmacy ensures that the learning experience is streamlined with an optimum student-to-teacher ratio.
Facilities in the college are quite impressive, and those that maximise the educational journey of its students are the library and information centre, which acts as a knowledge hub with more than 3,400 books and 18 journals, of which some are international publications. A fully equipped computer lab with 20 PC workstations, all provided with pharmaceutical studies relevant software packages, is at the students' service. Besides these, sports facilities and a spacious air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 400 for seminars, guest lectures, and technical presentations portray the commitment of the college to holistic development. Apollo College of Pharmacy also offers excellent hostel facilities with modern facilities, including internet access, to both boys and girls requiring accommodation.
Apollo College of Pharmacy offers a variety of programmes in the pharmaceutical domain at different educational levels. Three full-time courses include a 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma), a 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), and a 2-year Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy (M.Pharma Pharmacognosy). With these programmes combined, the total seats available in this college for quality education in its various specialisations in the pharmaceutical area is 126.
