BA and KR MCA College, Prakasam, started in 2008, is an affiliated college situated in Doddavarappadu of Andhra Pradesh. This institution is located along the Maharajapur National Highway 5 and occupies an area of about 3.17 acres of land. The college, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), offers two postgraduate programmes. Among them MBA and MCA stands for Master of Business Administration and Master of Computer Applications respectively. At present, there are 67 students studying in the BA and KR MCA College of management and computer applications while the institution is staffed by 15 faculty members. 

The college has many amenities that were put in place for the purpose of bring additional values in the college education of the learners. A well-equipped library is considered as an information centre of necessity for carrying out academic endeavours. BA and KR MCA College contains faculty wise practical laboratory that is helpful for hands on experiences for MBA and MCA courses. Since the college appreciates the role of technology in the current learning model, it boasts of quality IT facilities thereby providing students with modern computing resources. To pupils who needs it, the college has provided accommodation facilities in the form of a boys’ hostel as well as a girls’ hostel for them to be comfortable as they improve on their studies. 

BA and KR MCA College provides a facility of two full time postgraduate courses to total 150 students in one session. MBA course of study with the approved enrolment capacity of one hundred and twenty is aimed at producing the future generation of business leaders. The MCA programme admitting 30 students for the programme expect to produce more computer application professionals. Both courses take two years and are designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills of thematic fields.

The admission process of the BA and KR MCA College allows the institution to identify and admit deserving MCA students. For the MCA programme, the college accepts scores from, the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET), a test taken at the state level for the admission to the MCA courses. This help to make sure that students who are accorded the opportunity to join the programme bear minimum set standard.
