Bangalore School of Design (BSD), as the name suggests, was founded in the year 2017 and is a dedicated design college in the pulsating city of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Focusing on the concept of design education, this relatively young institute has gained rather fast recognition within the academic community. BSD currently teaches 15 different courses under six degree programmes centred on design disciplines such as interior design, spatial design, graphic design, and brand strategy. BSD has 87 students in total and 19 faculty members, which makes learning very unique and creative due to the small number of students.

Bangalore School of Design has functional facilities for campus, and the students do not face a lot of challenges when it comes to practising what they have learnt. In its service, the institute offers the transport facility which is comprehensive enough that it would make it easier for students coming from different parts of the city to travel in comfort. The IT facilities of the institute are quite developed, and other related facilities and technologies are also available to make the students’ design-orientated ideas come to live. Also, there is a cafeteria on the campus which provides a break to students and staff with a mechanism of developing the community of the institute.

Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are also available here, but the courses at Bangalore School of Design are all full-time ones. Programs offered by the institute are B.Sc in Interior Design, BVA in Interior and Spatial Design, BVA in Graphic Design and Brand Strategy, BA in Journalism and Design and an interesting Bachelor's in Interior Architecture and Spatial Design. For those desiring short courses, the university factors in the BSD International Diploma in Interior Design and the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management. 

As with the admission process, all Bangalore School of Design’s programmes aim at nurturing the creativity of students. The admission is based on an average of the academic accomplishment, the portfolio, and tests or interviews.
