Bharat Institute of Technology Ibrahimpatnam was setup in the year 1999 is one of the premier institutions of the state of Telangana,India. This affiliated college located in a large 120 area is one of the leading college in providing better pharmacy education. Recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the Institute offers programme at the UG and PG levels in the various branches of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Limbe, BIT has registered a total student capacity of 497 and faculty of 51 that as become conducive for producing academicians and moulded characters.

It offers only the full time programmes at the baccalaureate and master’s degree level and the Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate programme. The B.Pharma programme of the institute that’s one of the major courses has a capacity of 60 students. At the postgraduate level M.Pharma courses offered consists Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Hospital and clinical pharmacy and each course has the strength of 15-24 students. The primary Pharm.D programme is a six year course, which admits thirty students while the Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate admits ten students. According to NIRF data of this institute, total gross intake of the students is 611 in the academic year of 2023, in which 386 students enrolled in under graduation programmes and 225 in post graduation programmes.

The procedure of getting admission in Bharat Institute of Technology is, there are different entrance examinations. For joining B.Pharma and Pharm.D, the admission process is TS EAMCET, that is Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test. The graduate, who wants to become a postgraduate, can get admission under the GPAT or the TS PGECET merit list. To participate in the admission process, the institute has adapted the web-based counselling process to fill up the M.Pharma seats. Presently, the institute has 63:37 sex ratio of its undergraduate and postgraduate students.
