B.Arch at BVCA Pune Offline Course

Bachelor of Architecture course is offered by BVDU College of Architecture since 1994 and has produced many successful batches for years. Many of our students are placed with many eminent architectural firms in India and abroad and many are practicing as successful consultants. Along with academics BVDU offers students an environment to excel in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Bachelor of Architecture is a five-year program (10 semesters) with two parts. In the first part, students get acquainted to the basics of architectural principles and are prepared to work as interns in architectural practice. The second part includes an internship, individual design-based thesis followed by a capstone project. With an intent to focus on hands-on experiential learning terminal assessments are based on sessional and viva-voce rather than theory papers in examination scheme, assessment scheme decided for each and every subject based on learning outcomes.

Students may not be accustomed with studio-based architecture education and first year is the foundation for next four years of B. Arch.education, as such the first semester has a reduced course load. First two semesters familiarize the students with basics of built environment, architectural vocabulary and concepts. Course load is gradually increased and in the new course structure elective subjects have been introduced from third semester, in order to give students an opportunity to develop their skills in subjects/areas of their choice.
