BLDEA's New Arts and Commerce College, Tikota , is an affiliated College which was started in the year 1969 at Vijayapura of Karnataka state by BLDEA. The institution is located in a 10 acre land and is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Currently the college is hosting a total of 432 students and has 13 faculty members The college currently offers two under graduate programmes. It aims impart quality education in arts and commerce with special emphasis to fulfil the need in education of the region.

The BLDEA's New Arts and Commerce College, Tikota  has various facilities to support the learning needs of students the following are some of them. Accommodation includes hostels for boys and girls, a play ground, a well equipped library that boasts of over 37,000 books in the library, current reference materials like encyclopaedias, journals, magazines, preparing students for competitive examinations and a standard cafeteria . The institution offers students prompt IT facilities with internet connected computers in the districts offices and departments together with a computer lab. The college for sports minded special interest groups and enthusiasts are provisioned with standard remarkably fitted gym and other sporting amenities. While amenities and services, there are three special facilities in this university – a health centre and two first aid facilities. The college also has a girls hostel with a capacity of 25 rooms which avails an opportunity for female students who live from distant places to stay in the college Hostels.  

BLDEA's New Arts and Commerce College offers two full-time undergraduate programmes: BA (Bachelor of Arts) and B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce). The other one is designed to take three years as a full-time learning option and four years for the part-time equivalent. 

The college may call for marks obtained in the qualifying examination and marks secured in any entrance test if any.  The Training and Placement Cell in the institution guides the students by giving necessary information regarding placements and conducts Free coaching classes for competitive examinations showing concern for students’ future.
