Blooms College of Education, an affiliated college, was established in the year 2003 and is located at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, India. The institute is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers two full-time educational programmes. Located on a $500,000 2-acre land, the college has 239 students and 24 faculty members. I also determined that Blooms College of Education is a co-educational institution to facilitate all students’s equality regardless of their sex. The college has professionally orientated courses for teachers which have an admissions capacity of one hundred each for the B.ED and D.El.Ed. programmes.
The library, or the central part of the institution, contains about 4,860 books in 17 steel and wooden cupboards with glass modules installed. For sports lovers, the college has both open and indoor sports amenities available for use. Cricket, basketball, and volleyball could be played at outdoor utilities, while the indoor games are billiards, table tennis, chess, carrom, and badminton. Facilities are also available in the college. The Blooms College of Education also has an IT facility, departmental laboratories, a guest house, a healthcare centre with first aid amenities, a gym, and an academic hall for conferences and meetings. A cafeteria serves the eating requirements of both the staff and students. Blooms College of Education, Mandi, is one of the institutions with an exclusive concern for teacher education and well-equipped facilities; the college is willing to prepare skilled and competent teachers of the future. Due to the college’s devotion to imparting quality education in a counselling and enabling environment, the college deserves a recommendation among teacher training colleges in the region.
Blooms College of Education, Mandi offers two primary courses: B.Ed. and D.El.Ed., Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education, respectively. The two programmes are full-time and take two years to complete. The required approved intake for these courses is two hundred students per year, half of which is for each programme. It has done so while keeping the college focused and with a clear emphasis on preparing capable teachers and trainers.
The entry procedure for the B.Ed and D.El. Ed courses of Blooms College of Education is CET conducted by the respective organising authorities. For the B.Ed programme there is CET by Himachal Pradesh University Shimla and then counselling. Only the candidates whose names have been printed in the selected list as per their CET scorecard are eligible for admission to the college. Likewise, the D.El.Ed programme is organised by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala, through CET followed by the counselling process. Therefore, the above-laid-down procedure of admission guarantees the right and merit-worthy students for both programmes.
