Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by North Eastern Hill University, Shillong.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with at least 45% marks in the Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree with at least two school subjects at the graduation level are eligible for admission.
Seats are reserved for ST / SC / OBC and physically handicapped students. To clear the backlog of untrained teachers, some seats are also reserved for candidates who do not qualify based on the marks obtained with the Bachelor’s Degree, but who have three years of teaching experience.

Admission Details

Admission shall be made on merit, based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination, or any other selection process, as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.
