DBMS College of Education, Jamshedpur was founded in 2018, DBMS College of Education, Jamshedpur is quite young institution to build the future of education. The college is located in the industrial city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and is co – educational offering professional courses in teacher education. Located in a fairly small area of 1 acre the college is an affiliated college sanctioned by the NCTE: National Council for Teacher Education to maintain the standards laid down on the national level for colleges offering the course in teacher education. DBMS College of Education can accommodate 122 students and currently it has 14 faculty members thus being able to offer the students the necessary attention.

The college has had an opportunity to put up facilities that would help improve the learning experience of the students. Education library was well furnished containing more than 4700 books, 40 journals, encyclopedia, and magazines in Hindi and English for the users of students and faculty members. Learning Enhancement centre has well equipped IT enabled computer room with digital Language Lab setup by Orell Techno system. This revolutionary amenity enables students, apart from enhancing their ordinary lessons in a university, to enhance their English vocabulary. As for practical learning, the college has laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students also can get the benefits of Wi-Fi connection in the whole campus, large hall for conducting programmes and seminars and large play ground for outdoor games and other activities. There is also a Campus canteen, modem classroom facilities, and a Health centre compounded with first aid services.

DBMS College of Education currently offers two full-time courses: a Bachelors of Education (B. Ed) and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed). The programmes in both the education Master of Science and the Master of Education are therefore structured to span two years to ensure that the candidate theoretically and practically trains in education. The current student intake capacity has been established at 150 while the college aims at providing quality education hence recommending small classes.

With special reference to the admission policies under DBMS College of Education, admission to the College is done on merit basis as prescribed by NCTE and State Government. According to the entrance qualifications and quantitative tests, candidates can be chosen. The college may also use other methods of staffing as per rules governing the organisation.
