Doon Medical College Dehradun was established in the year 2015. It is one of the premier medical colleges in the state, spread over 12 acres as an affiliated college. GDMC Dehradun imparts various medical programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It offers 17 courses across 3 streams, namely medical, science, and paramedical. The college has a total student enrolment of 623, and the faculty strength is 203. 

Besides academics, the institute also provides several facilities for better exposure and growth of students. These will also include separate boys' and girls' hostels that ensure comfortable accommodation for students. There is a well-stocked library on campus that actually serves as the knowledge hub for medical literature and research materials. State-of-the-art laboratories are found at the college for aspiring doctors to learn through practical exposure. The Doon Medical College admission process involves national-level entrance examinations. For the MBBS course, admission is made on the basis of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET-UG. MD and MS postgraduate admissions are done based on NEET-PG scores.
