Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Education came into existence in the year 2006 in Kurukshetra, which is one of the premier institutions of teacher education. This co-educational college is located opposite New Bus Stand, Kheri Markanda, Kurukshetra, Haryana. It is affiliated with National Council of Teacher Education, New Delhi. It is distinguished by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, which serves as proof of the striving and commitment of the institution towards quality in the field of education. Spread over a 1-acre campus, the institute offers 3 degree programs with a total student enrolment of 400. Having a faculty strength of 20, it assures the students of personalized attention and guidance.

Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Education is well-endowed with all modern facilities to enrich the learning process of its students. It offers 3 full-time courses pertaining to the field of Education, Bachelor of Education, Master of Education, and Diploma in Education. All the sanctioned intakes for courses put together are 300 seats, wherein the B.Ed has a maximum intake of students, around 200 in number; on the other hand, M.Ed and D.Ed have 50 each. All programs are designed for completion in 2 years and provide comprehensive training in various aspects of education and pedagogy. The admission procedure for Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Education will be different for various programs.                                           

Admission to B.Ed and D.Ed programs shall normally be made on the basis of merit, considering marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as per the policy of the State Government/UT administration and the University. For the M.Ed course, candidates have to face an entrance test conducted by the University.
