Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Nursing, Pune was established in the year 2000. It is among the top colleges for nursing studies. Situated at Sant Tukaram Nagar, Pimpri, Pune, it is a constituent college that has a very large campus covering about 42.5 acres of land. This institute offers 7 full-time courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral level .Undergraduate Course BSc Nursing is taken along with an intake of 100 seats, and the Post Basic BSc Nursing is offered with 30 seats. Various specialisations in MSc Nursing are offered at the postgraduate level, and the institute caters to 5 seats each for Community Health Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing, and Medical Surgical Nursing. The institute further increases its academic presence by offering a Ph.D. in Nursing. 

Admission process of Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Nursing: To shortlist the prospective learners for all courses. The Undergraduate programs would be on the basis of academic merit and entrance examinations, if needed, for the management or college to require. The postgraduate admissions would include all M.Sc. Nursing specialisations based on entrance examination merit conducted by the university or competent authority. The test ascertains the capability of the candidate in pursuing further studies in nursing. Admission into the Ph.D. course shall be done on the basis of an All India Entrance Test conducted by the Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, followed by an interview. The 6-month pre-Ph.D. course should be done after declaration as a Ph.D. candidates.
