24 MonthsMaster of Pharmacy (M.Pharma) in Pharmacognosy is a full-time two-year course degree offered by MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Herbal medicine has been used for thousands of years. As per WHO, nearly 80% of the world's population relies on traditional herbal/natural medicinal products and supplements for the treatment of various ailments due to the belief that they do not have any side effects, unlike modern synthetic drugs. To prove such belief and benefit the patients suffering from various diseases, identification and standardisation of herbal medicines are being carried out worldwide, and the study of Pharmacognosy is quite essential in this regard.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduates of B.Pharm degree from an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B.Pharm).
- Admission selection for the university quota is based on RUAS AT scores and an interview process. GPAT and CUET-PG scores are also accepted. Additionally, candidates can secure admission through PGCET counselling.
