Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, was established in 2010. It is one of the premier medical institutions located at Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, on a 36.52-acre campus. This institute is approved by the National Medical Commission, and the college is an affiliated college. With 78 faculty members, FIMS offers courses in MBBS and PG courses in different specialisations. 

FIMS has a variety of modern facilities aimed at enriching the learning experience of the students. Indeed, the institute library is symbolic of its ideal for academic excellence. The institute offers a total of seven courses across three degree programmes, all full-time. Among them, one is the flagship programme of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Apart from the undergraduate course, there are six postgraduate courses in the institution: the MD in General Medicine, Paediatrics, Radio Diagnosis, Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, and MS in General Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. These different specialised programmes cater to students who want to further their medical expertise in specific areas.

The admission to Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences is based on national-level entrance examinations. For the MBBS course, admission occurs according to NEET-UG. Candidates applying for admission will have to qualify in NEET-UG and then undergo the counselling process. Admission to the postgraduate programmes (MD/MS) is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates, NEET-PG. The institute follows the stipulations issued by the concerned regulatory authorities from time to time in regard to seat allotment and admission procedures.
