    About Ganga School of Nursing, Coimbatore

    Ganga School of Nursing Coimbatore started in the year 2010 is one of the leading school in the field of nursing in Tamil Nadu India. Sivakasi, affiliated to Tirunelveli University, NGGO Colony Post, Vattamalaipalayam, Tamil Nadu is affiliated to the Indian Nursing Council to meet the standard of education of the nation. The institute carries three full time nursing courses for students that include B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) education is imparted to the students who are in different stages of their nursing education careers.

    The provision of an appropriate learning environment is also well supported as currently the Ganga School of Nursing is in the process of establishing such a premise. The campus features a number of amenities that are new to promote learning. A large number of books, journals and periodicals of more than 3,000 are stocked and provided to students in well ventilated and organised library. It also avails e-journals and international publications, which enables students to update their knowledge into modern practices in nursing. The college laboratory is well equipped with a view of providing practical aspect that embrace various specialities of nursing. With the confirmation of the student’s disabilities, the institute offers the hostels for the male and female separately. These hostels are within the peaceful compound of the University. 

    Today, the institute provides courses that are suitable for all the aspiring nurses depending on; The B.Sc Nursing programme is one which was designed to take four years, full time course of nursing and basics of nursing science. The Post Basic B.Sc Nursing is a programme that takes two years for registered nurses who consider pursuing higher education. The GNM course that takes three years has some advantages over other models of course work and develops a much sharper set of skills in nursing and midwifery.
