GD Binani Post Graduate College was was set up in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh in 1969 and since then it has grown in to a reputable educational college. Located in Bharuhana Chowk ; this affiliated college occupies a sprawling area of 10 acres that provides a best environment for learning. The college’s current student population stands at 3127 and it has a faculty of 25, thus it supports multicultural academic environment. GD Binani PG College therefore provides three degree programmes, offering both undergraduate and post graduate programmes to foster education. It opens its doors to everyone who wanted to attain quality education as shown in the coverage of the course and infrastructure. 

GD Binani Post Graduate College possesses several amenities to provide an improved environment for learning the advanced facilities. The rich – stocked library aims at being a storehouse of information and edifices students’ intellectual tools. To support laboratory learning in the college, functional laboratories exist based on the departments they serve with modern equipment. To support this, GD Binani PG College has invested in qualitative IT facilities , students are able to update themselves with advanced technologies used in the classroom. It also has sports acre which ensures that students are healthy both physically and with team sprit. The availability of the first aid facility makes provision for any emergencies to be attended to at a health center. Besides, the college canteen is a comfortable place for students and members of staff to have a rest and have lunch between classes. 

Currently, GD Binani Post Graduate College has a total of three courses to students at both its Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. The institution offers two baccalaureate programmes and one postgraduate programme, and in total 2,440 students are enrolled in all the courses offered at the institution. The BA. course having a variety of streams, has the maximum number of seats as 2,040. This is followed by the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) programme with 320 seats, and the Master of Commerce (M.Com) programme for Post graduate students attracting 80 seats. These programmes are usually meant to prepare the students with the knowledge and skills for practice in the professions they have chosen.

The college applies clear recruitment criteria by addressing the achievements of candidates in their previous qualifying examinations. The admissions for all of the three programmes namely BA, B.Com and M.Com are done according to merit list prepared by the college.
