GEM Institute of Nursing Education & Research has been a featured college affiliate since 2009 and is situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The institute is located on a 7-acre campus which has an objective to deliver quality nursing education. Youth Nursing College is a co-educational INC-affiliated college that offers two nursing programmes, having a total enrolment capacity of 219. This institute has a small team of 6 professionally eligible faculty members who focus on providing one-to-one session. 

GEM Institute of Nursing Education & Research  caters to a variety of services to enable the students to meet their educational and personal needs. The campus itself features a first-rate library to allow students access to a large amount of nursing literature available. For practical experiences, the college has divided departmental laboratories that allow students to practise on several activities concerning nursing procedures. It also has information technology facilities in order to equip students for the current development that is taking place in the health sector. For the purpose of acquiring primary health care, the college university has provided the facility of a health centre with a first aid kit. For extracurricular activities, the college provides sports amenities and a hall for events and seminars. As for the accommodation, the institute provides separate hostel facilities for the male and female students on the campus, supervised by the residential wardens round the clock. Further, the college offers transport facilities; there is availability of two buses for clinical posting.

GEM Institute of Nursing Education and Research offers three full-time nursing courses: B.Sc Nursing, Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology, and Physician Assistant. The B.Sc Nursing programme prepares students for 60 seats with a course duration of four years, and the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing offers 30 seats with a course enrolment of 2 years. Both programmes are aimed at the development of subject matter based on theoretical knowledge and skills required by nurses. The total student intake on all courses is 90; this will help the institute meet its objective of responding to an increasing need for qualified nursing personnel.
