The GCETTS PG selection process is based on the performance of the candidate in the GATE/ Post Graduation Entrance Test (PGET).
For lateral entry at the 3rd semester UG level for Diploma/Polytechnic/B.Sc, candidates are required to clear the JELET. The candidates must meet the Government College of Engineering Textile Technology, Serampore eligibility criteria to apply for the courses. The candidates must meet GCETTS B.Tech eligibility criteria.
The candidates have to appear and qualify the WBJEE examination.
Then the candidates have to attend the counselling process.
Then the candidates must select GCETTS Serampore as the preferred college.
For lateral entry at the 3rd semester UG level for Diploma/Polytechnic/B.Sc, candidates are required to clear the JELET exam conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board admissions are provided through centralised counselling by WBJEEB on the basis of merit.
Then, the candidates must submit the documents and pay the GCETT Serampore admission fees.

Government College of Engineering Textile Technology, Serampore offers M.Tech at postgraduate level. 2 specialisations are offered in M.Tech. The duration of the course is 2 years.

GCETTS M.Tech Admission Process 2025
The candidates must meet GCET Serampore M.Tech eligibility criteria.

The candidates who did not appear for GATE, should write PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test), which is centrally conducted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).
Then the candidates have to attend the counselling process.
Finally, the admission will be confirmed if the candidate gets the documents verified and pays the GCETTS fees.

College Infrastructure
Govt College of engineering and textile technology serampor has a decent infrastructure for Btech Computer Science and engineering students the campus is well maintained with good lab facilities and a library however the infrastructure could be improved further

When I was studying in the college, the infrastructure was good, but not excellent. They have improved the infrastructure. Our laboratory was very well maintained. Wifi was very good. Smart classrooms were present.
