Government Degree College Tekkali is also known as GDC Tekkali. The college was established in 1971. GDC Tekkali is the first Degree College in Tekkali. GDC Tekkali is an ISO certified institute and recognised by UGC. The college is also certified by CPE, Autonomy, AISHE and others.  

GDC Tekkali is accredited by NAAC with Grade A. GDC Tekkali is affiliated with Dr. BR Ambedkar University, Srikakulam. GDC Tekkali offers BA, BCom and BSc  degree courses to the undergraduate students. The college considers candidates’ HSC results at the time of providing admission. 

GDC Tekkali has a dedicated placement cell and career counselling cell. GDC Tekkali has offered Rs. 1,25,000 as median salary package. The college has offered placement opportunities to nearly 61 students, in 2024. The college also offers higher education opportunities aside from placement opportunities.
