Government Engineering College, Bilaspur provides various academic and infrastructural facilities to the students for hassle-free campus life. - Boys Hostel
The college provides Hostel facility to the Boys. GEC Bilaspur has 2 Boys Hostels which can accommodate 100 students in each Hostel. The college also has a separate Hostel for the first year Boys which can accommodate 36 students. All the Hostels have their own separate Reading Room, Gym, TV Room and Dining Hall with Mess.
- Girls Hostel
Government Engineering College, Bilaspur provides a separate Hostel facility to the Girls students. The college has 2 Girls Hostels which can accommodate 65 and 100 students respectively in each Hostel. All the Hostels have a separate Reading Room, TV room, Dining Hall, Mess and Gym.
- Medical/Hospital
The college has its own dispensary with one Medical Practitioner and a supporting staff. In addition to this, all the departments have First Aid Kits. In case of a medical emergency, patients are referred to nearby hospitals for treatment.
- Library
Government Engineering College, Bilaspur has a Central Library which acts as the main Learning Resource Centre. The college Library has a rich collection of Books, Journals, Newspapers, Magazines and other reading material. The college Library has a separate Reading Room for the students and faculty members.
- Sports
Government Engineering College, Bilaspur has sports grounds for Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton and Football. Students are provided with various sports kits and equipment.
- I.T Infrastructure
The college has a separate Computer Laboratory in each department and also has a Centralised Computer Centre which has 100 systems with internet connectivity. The Computer Centre facilitates online tests and In- house software training for the students.

College Infrastructure
Science and engineering labs often have outdated instruments, limiting students' hands-on experience with new technology. Upgrading labs with AI, IoT, robotics, and automation tools can improve practical learning. Similarly, computer labs should have high-performance systems to support coding, AI, and data science projects.
One the the finest Institution in state.

College Infrastructure
Gec Bilaspur is one of the oldest technical institution in the state. It has well equipped classrooms and labs. During our graduation tenure there was constant upgradation from smart board in classrooms to new software in labs. Being a government institution these changes do sometimes gets trapped in red tapism and a lagness of approval but development has always been in positive curvature.
Very good college if belonging to lower middle class.

College Infrastructure
The college is one of the oldest colleges of Central India so the infrastructure is not that good as compared to private colleges but renovation works are also not properly handled and this is one of the main issues.
