Government Engineering College, Daman also known as GEC Daman is a budding government engineering College of Daman established in the year 2018. This is a co-educational institute, situated in Varkund, Mota Falia, Nani Daman and the institute spreads over 10.5 Acres of land. Recognised as an affiliated college by the All India Council for Technical Education, Dakshin Bharat bicameral Mandati Gudme; Pareeksha Idhaaka Mandal or GEC Daman nourishes the dreams of an engineer by providing a quality education in the technical field. The institute currently has a total of 261 students enroled in their various programs as this shows the institute’s commitment of keeping a near perfect students to faculties ratio required for effective learning.

GEC Daman occupies numerous infrastructures that were developed to enrich the educational process of the institution. The college has its own library where students have all the learning resources which they need for their college education. The institute’s students’ physical health is catered for by its provision of sporting amenities and a fitted gymnasium. The campus comprises of hostel facilities for boys and girls as a way to giving out-station students a comfortable place to reside in. GEC Daman has an extensive list of engineering programs being primarily centered to full time B.Tech programmes. The institute currently provides five distinct B.Tech programs. Civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering and computer science engineering.
