Government Girls College,Gulzar Bagh Tonk was established in 1995 which is an Affiliated College of the University of Rajasthan Jaipur. This women’s education pursuing institution was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Accredited by the National University of Malaysia, the college occupies a campus of 3.12 acres and aims to provide undergraduate education for its 404 registered students. Currently the college has 10 faculty members, this in turn gives the college a desirable student-teacher ratio facilitating close student monitoring. 

Government Girls College, Gulzar Bagh owns a number of infrastructural developments with the aim of complementing the learning processes of the students in the institution. Besides, the well-equipped library which supplies the student with information as the stock of knowledge in the broadest sense. For those who have passion in sporting activities the college has numerous sporting activities, to enhance their prowess in sporting disciplines. It also boasts of a very sound I.T department to make sure that the student is up to date with the technological advancement. A campus auditorium for occasions and seminars stands as a facility that creates and supports an unbounded academic environment. The departments have their physical labs and other infrastructure facilities for making the students industry ready to face the real-world studies. Hostel for girls is available which is a bunk house facility for out station students to stay safely and comfortably. This is the primary function of the Training and Placement Cell to make the students fit for the placement programmes. Further, the college actively participates all round extra-curriculum activities hence fostering all round development.

Government Girls College, Tonk has decked out four full time courses in total. Such courses include; Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Bio Group, and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Maths Group.
