Government Girls Polytechnic, Gorakhpur was established in the year 1984 and is one of the premiere technical institutions spread all over the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. This affiliated college with All India Council for Technical Education will provide quality education at the Diploma level in CADA, CE, CHE, ME, and EE. The working conditions prevail on a compact 3.5-acre campus with a total student enrolment of 763 and a faculty strength of 15. With its four diploma programs, the polytechnic focuses on hands-on technical education, tailored to provide students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary in the fast-moving technological world today. 

Government Girls Polytechnic also has a host of facilities available toward the academic and personal growth of a student. Based on the result of the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination conducted at the state level, Government Girls Polytechnic, Gorakhpur finally selects its students for admission. This is conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh, and it constitutes the basic mode of admission to all diploma courses offered by the institute.
