About Government Polytechnic, Jalgaon

Founded in 1960, Government Polytechnic Jalgaon is an educational institution administered by the Government of Maharashtra. GP Jalgaon provides a range of Diploma programs, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Pharmacy, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering. Government Polytechnic Jalgaon is accredited by both the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to deliver Diploma and Post Diploma programs in Engineering, Technology and Pharmacy in accordance with the regulations of the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. GP Jalgaon also offers a 2-year course of Diploma in Pharma.

GP Jalgaon provides tailored continuing education programs, conducts testing and consultancy services for businesses and industries, and also serves the community by facilitating the transfer of technology. Situated in close proximity to National Highway No. 6 in Jalgaon, the campus covers an expansive area of 52 acres. As part of the World Bank Assisted Project executed between 1992 and 1997, significant improvements have been made to the infrastructure, and state-of-the-art equipment has been acquired. Admission to the course is done through DTE Maharashtra CAP. Students who have passed SSC / HSC with relevant subjects have to apply and participate in the CAP counselling. All the information regarding the selection will be intimated on the website of DTE Maharashtra. At Government Polytechnic Jalgaon, various facilities are provided to the students. The facilities are not limited to the library, canteen, hostels, internet facilities and much more.
