About Government Polytechnic, Kishanganj
Government Polytechnic Kishanganj was established in 2016 following the laying of the foundation stone and inauguration by the Honourable Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar. GP Kishanganj was set up under the Bihar Government’s Saat Nischay Programme to deliver quality engineering and technology education. GP Kishanganj is approved and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Government Polytechnic Kishanganj offers Diploma programmes in the engineering and architecture stream. Admission to GP Kishanganj is based on Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. GP Kishanganj is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University Patna.
Government Polytechnic Kishanganj provide facilities like computer labs, a well-stocked library, separate hostels for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, guest house and a heath centre. Placements at GP Kishanganj are coordinated by the institute’s Placement Cell, which liaises with companies to organise campus recruitment drives and provides training and career counselling to prepare students for the industry.
