Great Eastern Medical School and Hospital is an upcoming medical institution in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college was established in the year 2004 with the approval of the National Medical Commission and the Indian Nursing Council and provides various medical programs. GEMS has a total student enrolment of 709 with a faculty strength of 235, providing a conducive atmosphere for medical education.

The admission process in GEMS is mainly based on national-level entrance examinations. Admission to the first-year MBBS course is done based on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET-UG. For admission in postgraduate courses, MD/MS, the admission is done based on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduates, NEET-PG. These national examinations provide an apt and competitive selection process at these levels.
