Gurudev Institute of Management Studies or GIMS, located in Kadakkal, Kollam, Kerala, was established in 2010. This is a co-educational institution that is an affiliated college with the AICTE for all its management programmes for students who want to be managers. At present, the faculty of GIMS comprises of seven members to assure that each student receives adequate learning.

GIMS take pride in a host of facilities available to improve the student experience. The institute hostel has facilities for boys and girls within the institute compounds, providing a secure environment that encourages students to grow independently and also to be responsible. The library is one of the most important resources of the college, it has a whole stock of books and journals within the college campus and is following the Open Access System for convenient purposes. To support the goal of student development, GIMS offers sports amenities to students at all the respective levels. The Communications Lab is one of the institute’s excellent IT facilities serving as a tutoring centre for improving the students’ communication skills and presenting their work. The courses at GIMS are competitive and fully accessible through transport facilities for all intending students.

The core of the GIMS’s academic portfolio is its MBA programme. This is a full-time course taking two years that has been established to nurture future business leaders and managers. Many areas of management and business administration are covered by the programme’s curriculum. GIMS offers a total of forty-five (45) students admission into its MBA programme per year to facilitate students-faculty ratio in the teaching learning process to be favourable in order to encourage class participation and individual attention.

The admission process of the college is highly competitive and on the same time, transparent. Prospective students are required to have a valid score in one of the accepted entrance exams. The syllabus include the Common Admission Test (CAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), or Kerala Management Admission Test (KMAT Kerala).
