Haindavi College of Education Dharmavaram is one of the premier institutions of teacher training in Anantapuram, Andhra Pradesh, established in the year 1999. It is an affiliated college and, being a co-educational institution, is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Haindavi College of Education is sited on a congested 5-acre campus. It teaches two elementary programmes, B.Ed. and D.El.Ed., with an enrolment capacity of 50 students for each of the programme. At present, the college has 35 students enrolled, and the faculty strength is 10.

The college has the facilities appropriately provided to enrich the learning experience of students. A well-stocked library makes available essential literature and serves as a knowledge hub for students seeking to be teachers. The institution houses departmental laboratories for hands-on learning experiences that are crucial for practical training to become a teacher. An auditorium arranges various events and seminars, thereby promoting an academic atmosphere. 

The college also accords importance to the welfare of students by providing canteen facilities, a health centre with first aid treatment, and sports facilities for the development of students' all-round personalities. In addition, the campus is modern IT-equipped to facilitate students with the latest education technology. For the visiting guests, the college has guest house and waiting room facilities, which also bring out its hospitality.

Haindavi College of Education conducts two full-time courses both for two years. The same course equips students to teach in primary schools through a programme called the D.El.Ed. Diploma in Elementary Education. The sanction for the number of seats for each of the two courses—D.El.Ed. and B.Ed.—in every college is 50 seats for each of these courses. Which means there are 100 seats across the two courses that are taught in the colleges offering both the courses. These courses will hereafter churn out effective teachers owing to the theoretical knowledge plus the practical teaching skills.

The admission process at Haindavi College of Education is merit-based, considering marks obtained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests. For B.Ed., admission is made on the basis of the qualifying examination or entrance test as conducted by the state government and the policy adopted by the affiliated university. Likewise, for D.El.Ed., the selection for admission is merit-based, with account being taken of marks scored at the time of the qualifying examination or an entrance test as provided in the policy of the state government/UT administration.
