Indira Gandhi Government Arts and Commerce College, Bhilai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a library, which is an important department growing towards development. Various books of different faculties and their subjects are available in the Library. The reading-reading material is provided by the Library to the college professors, six teachers, officers, and employees. 

The college has a variety of sports arrangements. During the session under the guidance of the Sports Officer, various sports will be conducted regularly. Only after having regular practice and qualifications, the students of the college will be able to participate in college and university-level competitions in different sports.

The College has separate labs in each teaching department. Well-stocked and equipped laboratory facilities are established in the institute to provide our students with all fundamental necessities according to the university’s syllabi. The facilities of the laboratories have increased over the years from the time of the establishment of various departments. All laboratory courses are taught using well-developed infrastructure provided with wash basins and continuous water supply. Each laboratory is also provided with safety aids and equipment to handle accidental conditions.

The College computer laboratory with 50 computers and one browsing center is also established to cater to today's needs of the students.  

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The College Students of the institution belong to nearby areas and the mode of transport of most students is their vehicle. For the Safety and security of vehicles, the college has constructed a well-established cycle stand for students. The area of the cycle stand is approximately 1500 square feet and the capacity of the stand is approximately 500 vehicles. The stand is covered for protection from rain and sunlight. For protection from theft, CCTV cameras are also installed in cycle stands. A security guard is appointed for daily vigilance of vehicles and belongings of students. There is also a parking for staff vehicles of capacity 500 square feet another car parking for staff is proposed which is under construction.

The college campus has Wi-Fi enabled to keep students well-connected with global information.

The college has an auditorium that has multiple purposes for use in college because it is used for cultural events/organizing seminars/ used as recreation spaces/tutorials and remedial classes organized/ during exams examinations. Hence the college follows the policy of optimal use of infrastructure.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The College is one common canteen facility on the campus for students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the College.
