One of the major educational institutions in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Indira Gandhi Institute of Co-operative Management was established in the year 1956. It is a co-educational institute and is also referred to as IGICM Lucknow. It is an affiliated college with AICTE approval. This institute is set on a compact 4.7-acre campus and imparts specialised management education with a focus on cooperative management. The institute has a faculty strength of 3, and it offers only one postgraduate program in this particular institution.

IGICM Lucknow confers various facilities that enrich the learning processes of students. There are two separate hostels for males and females within the institute itself. The boys' hostel, Ganga, has 102 rooms that are well-equipped with some air-conditioned rooms and attached bathrooms. The girls' hostel provides comfortable accommodation through twin-sharing rooms. Classrooms on this campus are well-equipped, air-conditioned, and designed for interactive learning, fully equipped with modern teaching aids such as OHPs, computers, and LCD projectors. It has a very resourceful library with more than 12,000 books in subjects of management and economics. In addition, it also provides access to 84 various periodicals and journals.

The institute currently has one full-time postgraduate programme, the Master of Business Administration (MBA). This is a two-year programme with an approved intake capacity of 60 students. Details regarding specialisations, the MBA at IGICM is designed to give students complete management education, with particular emphasis on cooperative management.

The admission to IGICM Lucknow is mainly done through national-level entrance test. The institute considers CUET PG and CMAT conducted by National Testing Agency for its Post graduate and management programs respectively. Moreover, IGICM also accepts the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Examination score at the time of admission.
