Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata accepts admission for medical courses such as MBBS, MD, MS, PGD, DM and others. IPGMER Kolkata course admission is entrance-based. Candidates are required to take NEET UG, apply for counselling and book their seat for IPGMER MBBS admission. Similarly, for PG courses, NEET PG scores are required.
The superspecialty courses (M.Ch and DM) admission to IPGMER required NEET SS scores. The admission procedure for IPGMER Kolkata is discussed below.

After submitting the application form, candidates must apply for NEET UG registration.
Candidates must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by NTA and obtain a valid score.
After the results, an all-India merit list of the qualified candidates shall be prepared and published based on NEET UG scores.
Candidates who meet the IPGMER NEET UG cutoff should apply for the counselling conducted by the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee. During counselling, Candidates must choose the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata as their preference.
Once the seats are allotted to the candidates, they must complete the document verification process and pay the fee to confirm admission.
The MD and MS programmes offered by IPGMER and SSKM Hospital are in multiple disciplines, namely Radiodiagnosis, Pathology, Anaesthesia, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine and more.

Candidates must apply for NEET PG registration and take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), conducted by NBEMS.

Candidates who clear the required cutoff for the NEET PG exam should apply for online counselling.
During the choice filling and locking, candidates must choose IPGMER Kolkata as their preference. Then, results are declared and allotment letters are given to candidates.

The DM and M.Ch courses in PGI Kolkata are offered in disciplines like Plastic Surgery, Nephrology, Urology, Neurosurgery, Head and Neck Surgery, Cardiology and others.

Candidates are required to use the Medical Counselling Committee (UG/PG) registration portal to attend PGI Kolkata counselling for all India basis level. Candidates should register at the respective state counselling portal (West Bengal Medical Counselling) to get seats through the state quota. In the counselling process, candidates are required to list colleges based on their preference.
Candidates must visit the official website of the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Kolkata to get PGI Kolkata results. The results are uploaded in a PDF format with names and ranks. IPGMER results are declared for various medical courses such as diploma, MBBS, BPT, B.Sc, MD, MS and others.
