Itahar Government Polytechnic, established in 2019, is one of the newest technical institutes in Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal. This affiliated college, approved by AICTE, has diploma courses in different streams of engineering with a total student enrolment of 120 and faculty strength of 16, thus providing an ideal environment for the grooming of budding engineers. The polytechnic currently offers three full-time diploma courses of three years duration in Computer Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.

It has quite an appreciable number of facilities that will help its students excel in the learning processes. The library is quite a resource centre with adequate books and reference books from different fields of studies. Itahar Government Polytechnic has well-equipped, department-based laboratories where students can put theoretical knowledge into practice.
