Jagdalpur Institute of Nursing Bastar which was set up in the year 2013 is one of the most popular nursing institute of chhattisgarh established at Jagdalpur. This institute for boys and girls, located in a 2-acre campus, is an affiliated college affiliated to INC, Indian Nursing Council. With a focus on providing quality nursing education, the institute offers two specialized programmes: B.Sc Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course option for nurses outside the country. The institute takes pride in the overall enrolment of 73 students and eighteen dedicated members of the faculty for trainee nurses that assures appropriate attention and education.

The college has also modernised laboratory for different field of nursing like fundamental nursing,community health nursing,maternity nursing and medical surgical nursing. The institute offers two full-time nursing programmes: , they run a 4 years B.Sc Nursing course with a capacity of 40 students and 3 years GNM course with Intake capacity of 30 students. Each kind is aimed to equip the student with sufficient theoretical background and practical experience needed for a nurse. The student intake for these courses amounts up to 70 standard capacity, which implies the institute’s ability to attract maximum number of students while preserving the viable student-teacher ratio to guarantee good quality of education as well as focus on each learner.
