J.J College of Arts and Science, Pudukkottai, was started in the Year 1994 It is an autonomous college situated in Pudukottai District of Tamil Nadu state in India. Affiliated to MCS and recognised by NAAC and AICTE, presently GBS offers 52 programmes in 14 disciplines. The institution has a total of 24.9 acres, with a registered total student body of 5297, and a total of 151 faculty members. The gender split ratio shows the institute in a more or less equal manner with 57% male and 43% female students. The university also has undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes with 87% of the students seeking undergraduate education while 13% attends postgraduate level.

The J.J College of Arts and Science boasts of a range of very developed facilities that help shape the learning process in the institution. There are clinically related laboratory facilities such as Physics, Chemistry, Industrial Electronics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Microbiology. Currently the library has more than 23000 books’, 46 journals and it provides both printed as well as online material. Besides, the facility has a multipurpose playfield, basketball court and a 16-station multi-gym for the sports lovers. The campus is Wireless Fidelity enabled and this enables the students to access the internet easily. 

JJ College of Arts and Science presents a full range of learning opportunities. There are 52 programmes in institute and they are divided as 14 undergraduate, 13 postgraduate, 11 M.Phil, 9 PhD and 2 PG Diploma. For MBA, the intake approved is 120 and for MCA programme total intake approved is 60. The college offers many programmes especially in science and technology and among the most sought after programmes are the B.Sc Microbiology, Physics, Biotechnology and Computer Science.

In JJ College of Arts and Science under graduate courses the admission procedure is mostly based on merit only. For MBA and MCA programmes for post graduation, it has The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). The college allows admission to u.g courses to students who have passed their 10+2 examination and for post graduate courses to students who have passed their bachelors degree examination.
