JSS Banashankari Arts, Commerce, and Science College, located on Vidyagiri, Dharwad, Karnataka, was initially established in 1944, now known as JSS Shantikumar Gubbi Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Dharwad. NAAC affiliated with this affiliated college, and it follows the scope across streams, namely arts, commerce, and science. Occupying a large piece of land of about 45 acres, the college has a total enrolment of 2,268 students and is staffed by 97 faculty. The institution offers twelve courses inclusive of eight degrees, in which the institution offers a wide range of education specialisation in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The college follows all the modern standards and cares about having comfortable facilities for the students. The impressive library centre of the campus contains about 103,000 volumes of books, different journals, and periodicals. The technology-driven education is supported by six computer laboratories provided with modern hardware facilities and software instruments where students can learn operating systems, programming, networking, and multimedia. The college teams get plenty of sports activities, with the college students actively participating in different tournaments organised by the University Department of Physical Education & Sports, Karnataka.
