Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal, Haryana, was inaugurated in the year 2017. Being a co-educational college, it sprawls over 50 acres of land. Courses offered in this college at Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels are permitted by National Medical Commission, New Delhi. This institution takes pride in maintaining an excellent student-teacher ratio of 375 student enrollment and a faculty strength of 92, thus providing the ideal atmosphere for personalized learning and academic excellence.

KCGMC has adequate facilities that help in pursuing education. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available with an intake capacity of 100 students in each, and living conditions are made comfortable for outstation students. Admission to KCGMC is strictly on the basis of Merit and follows a uniform procedure. For MBBS, admission is made through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET-UG. The Candidates seeking admission need to appear in the NEET-UG and then participate in the counseling. Similarly, the basing of PG courses in MD is done based on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test NEET-PG. The college follows the policies of reservations based on the norms of the government; hence it gives equal opportunities to all their eligible candidates.
