Karnataka University Post Graduate Centre, Karwar (KUPGC) is a constituent postgraduate college affiliated with the Karnataka University and was founded in 1975. This institute has bee providing higher education for almost five decades in the city of Karwar located in the Karnataka’s coast. KUPGC, established in 1975, is located across five acres of land and provides students with postgraduate and doctoral degrees with an enrolment of 110 students, mentored by 12 faculty members. The centre is unique for offering programmes in Marine Biology, in addition to Commerce and English Literature among other common courses.

Among these are full time postgraduate degrees such as Master of Commerce in Accounting and Taxation, Master of Arts English, and Master of Science in Marine Biology. To those, wanting to go further with their research the programmes available within the centre include, Doctor of Philosophy in Finance, Doctor of Philosophy in Marketing, Doctor of Philosophy Marine Biology and Masters of Philosophy in Marine Biology.
