KG Engineering Institute, in Bankura, established in 1951, is one of the premier affiliates of the All India Council for Technical Education, directly granting diplomas in the majority of the engineering disciplines. Located on 19 acre of land, the institute has a total strength of 866 students and 32 faculties. 

Providing all sorts of facilities for intellectual and personal development, the institute aims at providing a good learning environment to its students. The institute has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, making it easier for students to have a homely atmosphere while being away from home across the region. A well-equipped gymnasium is open for the students who have an interest in physical fitness. The college is also built with an auditorium, which proves to be an excellent venue for many events and seminars that contribute to the all-round development of students. The KG Engineering Institute provides five full-time diploma courses. The five parallel courses will aid to branches of engineering preliminary to the student.
