KIMS Dental College, Amalapuram, was established in 2014. It is an affiliated college and is located at East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. The dental institution is situated on an expansive area of 5.2 acres. KIMS Dental College is recognized by the Dental Council of India. At present, it offers 5 courses under 2 degrees that offer some crucial factors in the field of dentistry. It has faculty strength of 66 members with a commitment to state-of-the-art undergraduate and postgraduate dental education by offering quality training in a three-year undergraduate course - BDS and varied specialisations under MDS, to the aspiring dental professionals.

The institute offers a total of 5 courses, with all being full-time programs. All the courses at the institute-the undergraduate course, namely, BDS and all the four postgraduate courses-are offered in all the fields of specialisations in dentistry. The total approved intake for all courses is 111 seats. KIMS's basis of dental education lies in the BDS program with a total intake of 100 students. The postgraduate MDS programs have much smaller, specialised intakes with less than 3 seats in most specialisations.

The admission into KIMS Dental College is chiefly based on the national-level entrance examinations. Whereas, BDS admissions are given through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET. In similar ways, candidates are admitted to the MDS programs on the basis of their performance in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS, commonly known as NEET MDS.
