Lalit Chandra Bharali College was established in the year 1971 in Guwahati, Assam, and since then, one of the strongholds has emerged in the scenario of higher education. This co-educational institution is affiliated with Gauhati University and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It functions on a compact campus spread over 1.3 acres and conducts extensive courses, 20 courses in 6 degrees with an enrolment of 961. The sex ratio has been maintained with males numbering 52% and females 48%, the faculty strength has also touched 45 devoted souls. The college boasts of well equipped facilities that have been improved to create better learning atmosphere.
The library at Lalit Chandra Bharali College acts as a knowledge hub with over 20,000 text and reference books, 30 periodicals, and 13 newspapers. SOUL software has been there for efficient management, and open access has been given to the students. A new hostel with an intake capacity of 40 inmates is there for female students only. For degree it's ok

The college washroom is not soo clean but the campus is clean and the labs are good and gym is there and there is wifi is slow and the campus is compact , the facilities are good enough, it has no playground too and the equipments are less.
