Manipur college was established in 1958 located at Singjamei, Canchipur, Imphal West, state of Manipur. This affiliated college which is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) presents the choice of a rather rich set of undergraduate programmes in arts and science. Located on a small plot of 2 acre, it has total student population of 6300 and total faculty and staffs are 70. At present, Manipur College offers 15 courses of 3 degree programmes, and aimed at the specific fields of Humanities, Sciences, and Social Sciences.

Manipur college presently strives to offer a proper atmosphere for learning to its learners. It provides a variety of services to enhance academic as well as personal development. The library is an information centre through which students obtain vast information that can assist in their learning. As for those who are interested in sports there are special sports complex in the college. It also values technological development as can be seen through the institutional’s IT facility and wireless campus connectivity. There are also recreational activities such as canteen dining and events in the college auditorium for students at the college. Currently, Manipur College has 15 courses of undergraduate courses, which are all the full-time programmes. The college offers both the BA and B.Sc degrees to give student a pool of choice depending on their preference.
