Mata Jiyo Devi College of Education, Hisar, was established in 2007 in Khanda Kheri, Hisar, Haryana. This co-educational college accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, and it has the approval of the National Council for Teacher Education. The college is spread over 1 acre. Mata Jiyo Devi College of Education, having 252 total enrolment, provides three courses in the field of education to aspiring teachers in different levels.

It has several modern facilities aiming to improve learning among its students. The library is well provided with all updated books to work as a knowledge core, having more than 5,357 books, 10 journals, and e-books with audio-visual aids. Mata Jiyo Devi College of Education has well-maintained special laboratories, including a Physical Chemistry Lab, Biotechnology Lab, Language Lab, and Psychology Lab, to facilitate practical classes. Mata Jiyo Devi College of Education offers focused varieties of three full-time courses in the education sector. Three different programmes are offered: Bachelor of Education B.Ed, Diploma in Education D.Ed., and M.Ed or Master of Education. 

The merit-based admission procedure of Mata Jiyo Devi College of Education is transparent. The admissions to B.Ed are made on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination and/or based on performance in an entrance examination. Admissions to the said programme are in accordance with the State Government, UT Administration, and the policies of the affiliating University. The D.Ed programme also adopts a merit-based admission process after considering the marks in the qualifying examination or entrance test results. The M.Ed. programme is also merit-based, which is determined by the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any other selection process as may be prescribed by the competent authority.
