MES Polytechnic, situated at Madhugiri, Tumkur District, came into existence in 1984 and is an eminent technical college in Karnataka state. This affiliated college, having approval by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has a number of diploma programmes in engineering fields. Spread over an area of 8 acres, MES Polytechnic has a suitable infrastructure for technical education. This institute has been coming out with a total enrolment of students to be 274 though the faculty size available is 29 in number, and hence the quality education. Polytechnic provides five complete-time diploma courses, where students opt for engineering specialisation in different streams to face the technological world.

It has various facilities in the institute, which have great benefits in the learning process of the students. There exist well-equipped laboratories for practical sessions, an extensive library for research and academic materials, and the requisite information technology requirements for the growing technological needs. To facilitate the students and ensure their all-round development, MES Polytechnic also has sports and gymnasium. It also has its own boys and girls hostels for the students who are from other cities and, as such, out students. There are food facilities in the school compounds that provide the various food diets to the students and members of staff. 

At present, MES Polytechnic has five full-time diploma courses, and all are regular courses. These courses cover all eight engineering disciplines and give the students numerous choices for them to choose from.
