Netaji Mahavidyalaya, Arambagh Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a library for all the students it comprises the Central Library of about 8000 sq. ft. and 21 Departmental Libraries of varying sizes. The Central Library is housed in a three-storied building on the campus. Open access system. Complete automated bibliographic data searching facility. Online Public Access Catalogue for bibliographic data and member search. Automated circulation system through barcode. A digital library comprising of six computers and a dedicated internet connection.

The college has laboratory-based departments like Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Geography, Plant Protection, Environmental Science, and BCA have well-equipped laboratories, the infrastructure of which is getting modernized day by day. Computer facilities are also available for the students and the college is in the process of expanding these facilities. Major/Minor Research projects carried out by some of the facilities of Science departments go a long way towards modernizing these laboratories with up-to-date accessories like laminar airflow, trinocular research microscope, soil testing equipment, etc.

The college has sports facilities for all students. The college has its own playground which serves as the general venue of Games and Sports organized by the institution. Facilities for outdoor games like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Athletics, Badminton, etc. are available. Facilities in Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc. are also provided for boys and girls.

For cultural competitions and major cultural programs, there is a well-decorated Auditorium on the second floor of the Administrative Building. It is well equipped with audio-visual facilities. It has accommodation of as many as 420 seats.

The college has a Gym facility for all the student's Multi Gymnasium in the college where there is provision for exercise for male and female students separately as well as for interested staff members.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. Keeping pace with modern ICT-based administrative and academic activities, the college is now in a position to say that it enjoys computer facilities to a large extent.

There is a good canteen on the ground floor just beside the staircase rising towards the first floor. Aquaguad is fitted on the wall adjacent to it. All kinds of healthy and tasty traditional and fast food are available here. The teaching and non-teaching staffs and the students(boys and girls separately) have food from there in separate rooms allotted for them adjacent to the canteen collecting through the windows. In the rooms, there is a good seating arrangement as well as provision for light and fan.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The Entire college is under the Wi-Fi facility and all the faculty members and students have access to the internet on campus.

The following are the health facilities available for students of the college. Arrangement for FIRST AID in the college. Health check-ups from students’ Health Home where service from qualified doctors and competent staff is available. In emergency cases, the Health Home refers the patients to Arambagh Subdivision Hospital or, if necessary, to the Students Health Home at Moulali or better hospitals in Kolkata by the ambulance provided by them.

The college has two Boys hostels Vidyasagar Chhatrabas having the accommodation of 88 borders and Bidyarthi Bhawan having the capacity of 25 boarders Students are admitted to the hostels on the basis of the distance of their residence from the hostels and their respective merit.

The college has two Girls hostels Nazarul Chhatri was having the accommodation of 125 borders and Principal Quarters’ Hostel for ST Girls having a capacity of 25 borders. Students are admitted to the hostels on the basis of the distance of their residence from the hostels and their respective merit.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.
