NIMS Dental College and Hospital started in the year 2006 is one of the premier constituent college of the NIMS University. Situated at the KM: 95 of the Jaipur-Delhi Highway, this men and women’s educational institution has been stepping up in dental education after starting out. Recognised by Dental Council of India it imparts education in under graduate and various post graduate specialisations in dental studies. The college currently boasts of a faculty of sixteen distinguished professionals who are charged with the responsibility of teaching and preparing would-be dentists for practice.

A number of proving facilities that could boost the learning outcome of the college own students are also boasted by the college. The campus also contains separate hostels for male and female students; adequate and comfortable accommodation to out station students is provided here. Apart from the gym, which ensures that student practices physical activity to maintain his/her fitness, there are several other sports facilities for those students with interest in various sports. The one that college is most proud of is the central library was set up in the year 2008 with more than 62000 books and 288 national and international journal. Students also get to use e-journals and database such as Clinical Key, DELNET, EBS-Host and Manupatra which, enable broad search in various fields.

NIMS Dental College and Hospital have ten courses available at degree levels – Undergraduate and postgraduate: The BDS programme is a full five year course for which the University has an intake capacity of one hundred seats. Nine MDS specialisation are offered for postgraduate studies, all of which are three years full time programmes. It has discontinued Departments and Specialties such as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prosthetics and Crown and Bridge, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Operative Dentistry and Endodontics, Periodontology, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Principles of Epidemiology in Dentistry and Preventive Dentistry, Oral Medicine & Radiology, and Paediatric Dentistry. The MDS programmes have the highest flexibility in terms of their intake capacity, which lies between two and five students per specialisation.

Regarding the admission process of NIMS Dental College and Hospital examination national level GATE is followed. The BDS programme admissions are done in affiliation with the NEET, which stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. To be admitted to any of the various MDS programme, aspiring postgraduate students must sit and pass in the NEET-MDS (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS). These examinations help the college to admit more students, who meet their academic standards thus preserve quality admission.
