Professional Institute of Engineering and Technology is a private institution, situated in Raipur. The affiliated college was established in 2009 and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It offers four undergraduate engineering programmes. The 10.05-acre campus of PIETECH has a total student intake of 356 with a faculty strength of 46. The institute offers various specialisations in the engineering discipline like Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. PIETECH accepts scores of national-level entrance exams like JEE Main and state-level CG PET for admission.

It has various facilities to support the students' academic and personal growth. The Central Library has more than 10,000 books, 45 journals, and 30 magazines; it is thus very rich for learning and research. Sports facilities like basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, kabaddi, and a well-equipped gymnasium are available for PIETECH sports enthusiasts. It has a well-established IT infrastructure with a computer center functional during college hours and access to the latest software such as Matlab and Qualnet. The boys and girls also have separate hostel facilities that ensure comfortable accommodation on campus. To facilitate easy commuting, PIETECH operates a fleet of 8 buses covering various parts of the city.

PIETECH offers four full-time BE Courses, each of four years. The total sanctioned intake across all courses is 150 seats. BE in Civil Engineering has the highest intake capacity of 60 seats, while the intake capacity for the other three programmes—Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering—stands at 30 each. The courses are on a full-time basis and provide students with thorough classroom and practical training.

Admission to PIETECH is done basically on the basis of national- and state-level entrance examinations. It accepts both national- and state-level entrance examination scores. As national-level test, it accepts Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main), and Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test, CG PET, at the state level. These are held in the months previous to the start of the academic year, wherein the JEE Main is usually held in January and April and the CG PET in May.
