Ratua S.N. Bose Government Polytechnic was established in the year 2014 as a technical institution in Malda, West Bengal. This is a government-aided polytechnic, an affiliated college under the All India Council for Technical Education. The institute is located at the heart of Ratua and offers two different diploma courses in Civil and Electrical Engineering. Having an enrolment of 270 students and a faculty strength of 17, it provides a focus-oriented learning environment to aspiring engineers. 

It has a host of facilities that would enhance the learning experience for the students within the polytechnic. A good library acts as an information center, helping the students with a wide range of technical literature and resources. There are departmental-specific laboratories within the institute that help students in practical learning, applying theoretical concepts in the areas of interest practically. Ratua S.N. Bose Government Polytechnic, at present, offers two full-time diploma courses of three-year duration. The sanctioned strength of the institute is 120, out of which 60 are for civil and 60 for electrical engineering. These diploma courses are of such a nature that students will be provided with a sufficiently good foundation in the fields of Civil and Electrical Engineering.
