SIRTE or Sagar Institute of Research and Technology is a private B-school that was established in 2008 and is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. SIRTE is located in a five-acre campus and provides multiple diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes in engineering, management and business administration. The institute has affiliation with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal and is accredited by NAAC. SIRTE has a student strength of 2003 and faculty strength of 146 and provide a right atmosphere for the students those who are interested to be professional.
Fundamental facilities that exist in SIRTE that specific aim at facilitating student’s learning process. The learning resources available on this campus include adequate laboratories, quality classrooms, and a good library system for learning. The students are provided with high IT facilities such as Wi-Fi with high internet speed all over the university compound. To cater to those with accommodation needs, SIRTE has provided and maintains good hostels separately for boys and girls. The institute also attaches great importance to health and has various facilities for implementing indoor and outdoor activities. A cafeteria provides hygienic and balanced food while a health centre is for medical care of students. There is a total of 15 courses spread out in four degree levels thus making the institute to provide for all the students’ academic flavors. These are full time programmes in Engineering, Management and Technology at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate level. The major courses of the institute are B.Tech programmes majoring in Computer Science and Engineering disciplines, which take 180 seats. Other known courses are MBA that has 240 set and diploma in mechanical and civil engineering with 120 set each. But in this current session, SIRTE is also running admission in certain specific programmes such as B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with special focus on Internet of Things and Cyber Security Including Block Chain Technology and both the programmes consist of sixty seats.
The admission requirements differs from one programme to another in SIRTE. B.E./B.Tech programmes are mainly through JEE Main ranks and for the diploma holders, who want to seek direct admission, have an additional route. The academic qualifications are considered during the admission process of M.E./M.Tech and MBA. Being an important part of the admission procedure, the institute offers counseling sessions. This Institution has an average infrastructure and the facilities provided by the Institution are basic. The college has a good library and the labs conditions are also fine which should be improved in future.
