Saraswati Law College Chitradurga was set up in 1965, is a renowned lawyer’s training college situated in Chitradurga in Karnataka state of India. This affiliated college, recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), has been building the legal profession for over five decades. The college is located on a small parcel of land measuring only 2 acres and responds to the needs of 341 formally enrolled students. The faculty comprises 8 dedicated educators in order to provide students with the personalised attention and quality education at Saraswati Law College. Saraswati Law College offers two law programmes, a three-year LLB programme and a five-year integrated course in BA LLB. Both are full-time programmes to ensure that the institution produces competent legal practitioners within the shortest time possible. Every programme has been approved for an intake capacity of 60 students, meaning that the college can have 120 new admission intakes every year. This strict rationing of courses guarantees that the students are offered comprehensive training in different areas of law with a view to equipping them to be good lawyers.
The admission of students to Saraswati Law College is a competitive admission requirement where the performances of students are the only criteria that are considered. Therefore, admissions to the LLB programme are based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination so that all the deserving candidates will be allowed to enrol in their programme of choice in law. Likewise, admission to the BA LLB programme is also merit-based, taking into account the results of the candidates who have appeared for their previous qualifying examination.
