School of Management (SoM), Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar offers admission to postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Admissions at School of Management PDEU are offered to MBA, Executive MBA and PhD programmes. SoM PDEU admissions are entrance based. SoM PDEU MBA admissions will be done through CAT/ NMAT/ XAT/ MAT scores followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). SoM PDEU MBA Admission Process 2025

• For SoM PDEU admission to the MBA course, candidates must meet the SoM PDEU MBA eligibility criteria.
• Candidates are required to apply and appear for the entrance exam-  CAT/ NMAT/ XAT/ MAT and secure a valid score.
• Eligible candidates are to apply through the prescribed admission form available on the SoM PDEU website along with the payment of the application fee.
• Candidates shortlisted based on aggregate CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT score will be required to appear for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) at SoM - PDEU.
• Selection of candidates shall be done using the criteria along with the weightage which includes CAT/XAT/NMAT/MAT score (50%), Group Discussion (10%), Written Ability Test (05%), Personal Interview (20%), Work Experience (10%), Academic Performance (05%).
• Seat allocation to the various categories, 15% of the seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% of the seats are reserved for ST and 4% seats are reserved for PwD). Seats not filled in under any reserved category shall be allotted to the general category.
• Candidates are shortlisted for SoM PDEU MBA admission based on their performance in the CAT/XAT/NMAT/MAT Score, Group Discussion, Written Ability Test, Personal Interview, Work Experience and Academic Performance in standard 12th and at bachelor's degree.
• Final admission will be confirmed after verification of documents and SoM PDEU admission fee payment. 

SoM PDEU Executive MBA Admission Process 2025

• Candidates seeking admission to the Executive MBA programme will have to meet the eligibility criteria.
• Eligible candidates shall apply in the prescribed format as available on the SoM PDEU website. 
• Complete the SoM PDEU application form by paying the application fee.
• Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience after acquiring the bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for SoM PDEU Executive MBA admission.
• The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at SOM on specified dates.
• During the personal interview, a panel will evaluate the candidate’s understanding of business issues, analytical skills, communication skills and potential to lead.
• The selection of the candidates will be based on Application Rating (10%), Experience in Years (20%), Relevance of Experience (20%) and Personal Interview (50%).
• The application rating evaluates candidates based on academic records of 12th, Graduation and Postgraduate if any, educational performance. 
• Admission at SoM PDEU will be confirmed after verification of documents and course fee payment.

SoM PDEU PhD Admission Process 2025

• First, candidates have to meet the SoM PDEU PhD eligibility criteria.
• Fill out the application form by paying the required application fee.
• There will be a two-stage of  SoM PDEU PhD admission process which includes a Written Aptitude Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI).
• Appear for Written Aptitude Test (WAT) which consists of 50% weightage on research methodology and 50% weightage on subject-specific questions.
• However, the candidates who qualify for the UGC-NET/ UGC-CSIR NET/ GATE/ SET with a valid score in terms of cut-off marks and duration will be exempted from appearing in the WAT and deemed to be qualified for the personal interview.
• The entrance test shall be qualifying in nature with qualifying marks as 50%, and only such candidates will be eligible to appear at the PI - Personal Interview/ Viva Voce.
• A relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed in the entrance examination for the candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ OBC/ differently-abled category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other categories of candidates.
• The admission merit list for the eligible candidates (qualified in the written test or exempted from the written test and then appeared in the PI) will be based on 30% weightage of Personal Interview (PI) score and 70% weightage of Entrance Test score/ Exempted Examination score. For the NET-JRF applicants, 100% weightage of the PI score will be considered for admission merit.
• Final admission will be offered after verification of documents and course fee payment.
